A 6 Billion KRW Financial Incident Related to Collateralized Loans on Frozen Meat by TheAssetFund, an Online Investment-linked Company (Associated with the 80 Billion KRW Frozen Meat Collateral Investment Fraud Case)

사건 쟁점
1. TheAssetFund, an online investment-linked company (P2P lending company), operated investment products offering approximately 14-15% returns using imported frozen livestock as collateral from a livestock distribution company.

2. TheAssetFund raised funds from numerous investors, provided loans to borrowers, and was responsible for returning the principal and interest.

3. TheAssetFund failed to properly disclose the management status of the collateral, which was imported frozen livestock, preventing investors from directly verifying the details of the collateral.

4. As a result, financial issues arose with the products launched from December of last year to April 1st of this year, leading to a financial incident, and the invested funds have not been repaid to date.
현재 상황
TheAssetFund's CEO, Mr. Cho, who had raised investment funds, has been unreachable due to the borrower's disappearance and the inability to repay the principal. However, he has recently claimed that he was defrauded himself by Mr. Park, the CEO of the livestock distribution company H, which is a parent company.

TheAssetFund may have anticipated investment losses due to issues such as the failure to properly verify the collateral and the lack of prior notification about the financial incident. Additionally, there is a high possibility that Mr. Park's illegal activities could result in criminal charges for fraud.
대응 방향
In response, Decent Law Firm will actively address the situation by recruiting for a class action lawsuit as follows:

- Criminal Proceedings: We will proceed with representing the criminal complaint through stages including the police investigation, prosecution, and first-instance court.
- Civil Proceedings: We will file a civil lawsuit to take measures that ensure the recovery of investment funds ahead of other creditors.
- Application for Compensation Orders: In cases of attempted settlement or if the opposing party is brought to trial, we plan to apply for compensation orders to recover the damages.
